Control this power-robbing force with a Fluidampr Harmonic Damper with race-proven vibration damping technology. A high viscosity silicone fluid surrounds a nylon-coated inertia ring inside a laser welded housing. All dampers are coated with black zinc chromate for increased corrosion resistance. Timing marks – every two degrees from 50 BTDC to 10 ATDC with additional marks at 90, 180 and 270. Meets SFI 18.1 specs.
Please Note: Crank key modifications may be required on some 429 Boss engines – may need stepped key. Key slot width and length may be different. May be used on 332, 352, 390, 427, 428 “FE” engines when the sleeve between the damper and the timing geat is shortened by .500″, a .375″ thick spacer is added between the damper and the pulley, and a stepped key is used.
