A turbocharger heat shield acts as a barrier for radiant heat produced by the turbocharger’s turbine housing. Deflecting this heat down protects key components in the engine bay which rely upon cooler ambient temperatures.

The COBB Tuning Heatshield is a replacement for the factory turbo heat shield found on most Subarus. Installing a turbocharger heat shield goes hand in hand with an aftermarket downpipe install as the factory sheilds will not fit without modification.
